Here’s our guide to St Davids in Pembrokeshire, a place we keep coming back to. Tucked along the Pembrokeshire coast, it’s all wild sea air, sweeping beaches and slow restorative days.

Some of our team have been visiting for years, drawn by the coastal walks, hidden coves and that unmistakable sense of escape. It’s the kind of place where a flask of something warm makes perfect sense whether you’re coming in from a blustery swim or watching the sun drop over the cliffs.

WHERE TO STAY

If you're not with kids, book Lili Bach, the shepherd's hut at Porthllisky Farm. The sunsets are incredible. Cwt Gwyrdd Shepherd's Hut and Pod Glamping is another great option, and Porthselau Shepherd's Hut at Pencarnan campsite is perched above the beach with the best views.

WHERE TO SURF

If you surf Whitesands is perfect and if you're learning we'd recommend booking in with Cool Water Surf Adventure who run great lessons for kids and adults throughout the summer. The beach is really accessible and has lifeguards so it makes for a stress free way to dip a toe.  You can book online or drop them a message.

WHAT TO DO

For something a little calmer take the boat from St Davids out to Ramsey Island, a 640-acre RSPB reserve. We saw seal pups on the beach, dolphins in the bay and cliffs full of gannets, cormorants and kittiwakes. Boats run daily though out the summer and you can book online or at the kiosk a the top of town.

WHERE TO SAUNA

For healing heat and a quick dash to the sea you've got two really good options. Wild Water Sauna at Little Haven is nestled in at the top of a very lovely bay with great access to the sea at high tide and beautiful views. Or Whitesands Sauna, which sits in the car park taking in the wide open stretch of sand we love and is a great way to warm up after a swim.

WHERE TO SWIM

Head down to Porthclaith harbour at high tide and jump straight in. Cold but completely worth it! That said the whole Pembrokeshire coastline is stunning with lots and lots of beaches so you're spoilt for choice, Porthlysgi is a big favourite if its low tide at the harbour and is only about a mile up the costal path

WHERE TO GET COFFEE

Head to Minnow, just behind the high street. It's busy (for good reason ) but really welcoming. Great coffee, bakes, and open sandwiches. They use our Barista Classic for hot chocolate so you can get your fix. They also have another kiosk down in Porthclaith so you can grab something delicious post swim .
