Ceàrnag Ceramics is a small pottery studio in the Northern Highlands of Scotland. Seeking to capture the colours of the wild and varied Scottish landscape, we focus on handmaking small batches of ceramics with care and attention. Ceàrnagwas formed in 2024 by James, born and raised in the crofting communities of the Orkney Islands, with a desire to create ceramics that connect the individual to the heritage and homeliness of the Highlands.
Each mug is individually handcrafted, celebrating the beauty of traditional pottery through subtle variations in shape, glaze and finish. No two are exactly alike, making every piece uniquely its own.
